Review of Rio Rancho, New Mexico

Rio Rancho- not that great!

I have lived in the area for the past three years with my husband. Although vastly better than Albuquerque, this is not a safe area. We have had overt and petty crime on our property and no longer feel safe in our home. There are few restaurant and fewer entertainment options. The views are great, but the wind is greater. NM is NOT the state for us.

I came from VA too. And it’s very different. Rio Eancho is a growing area, with relatively inexpensive housing. Give it 10 years and there will be a lot more options. The mayor seems to have a debelopment plan to help it grow in a positive direction.
